“Can you put Fiberglass on top of what I have now?”
Absolutely! Doesn’t matter what substrate you have, Give us a call to consult and go over your BEST options!
- First and foremost, For balconies or decks, a minimum of ¼” per linear foot of pitch is to be built into the surface to allow for proper water runoff. We Strongly recommend 1/2” A/C grade plywood
- Secondly, Siding, stucco, or any other exterior finishes must be removed a minimum of 10 inches up all adjoining walls, so that we can properly flash up from the surface of the deck
- Thirdly, Through-posts for railings are to be installed prior to arrival so that there is no need to drill or cut into the Fiberglass membrane
- Fourth, All entry doors must be removed so that we can properly Fiberglass into the sill to ensure no leaking occurs
- Fifth, Plywood must be completely dry prior to our Fiberglass installation. There are no exceptions
- Finally, Before and After the Application of Fiberglass, We suggest covering the area for protection from any debris or trash
